Between the conception of an idea and its implementation the road is
long and winding, but it’s a fantastic journey. Ixoost was born out of the desires of special people who put their own experience
to work in order to make this object unique. But the most important thing about Ixoost is that it was brought to life in Modena:
a town that stands like a huge farmyard bringing together all the skills and imagination of its modern metayers, chomping at the
bit to face the next impossible challenge. |

Matteo Panini is the heart and soul behind iXoost; it took him only a few precious moments holding
an exhaust manifold to come up with a simple idea, one which was then to turn into something extremely special and
capable of catching the very essence of his automotive passion unawares. This is the land he and his family come
from, a family with a history of turning a stroke of inspiration into a world-famous company: the legendary ‘Panini Stickers’.
His father was an inventor, known as ‘biáta’ (a wooden wedge used to split logs open), and it was hard to tell if he
was more of a peasant, a businessman or simply a genius. Be as it may, he really was ‘one from these parts’: a bottomless
well of good advice, and of generosity.
Matteo is all blood and earth: he loves nature and still crosses the ditches of his beloved countryside in search of the
deepest roots of Emilian life. He also loves beautiful things, and he loves the way his family is as rhythmic as the
hot-head engine of an old Landini tractor. He has great respect for old cars, and listens to old tips, particularly
those dispensed by his father, even when they are as heavy as the stones along the Panaro riverbed. He loves things
from Modena, his wife and daughters, but more than anything else he loves thinking up impossible things to share with
other likeminded hot-heads, well aware that they are inheriting a ‘Modeneseness’ made up of a philosophy, taste and
temperament of its own.

Mirco Pecorari designed the entire Dock, bringing together mechanics and style in a highly evocative object.
He’s an odd character in a town that celebrates high performance tyre-based locomotion: he comes from the world of planes,
having designed more than 500 aircraft liveries, from the most hard-headed racer planes, to private jets and helicopters, right
up to those of snub-nosed aerobatic craft. Mirco is like one of our walnut trees: the sturdy guardian of a great treasure, with
ideas just as solid yet generous as its fruits, those with which we make our age-old walnut liqueur.
The passion for moving design is a constant feature which has led him to break new ground, like the motorboats for which
he created both the inside and outside ‘Saetta’ wooden runabout designs; and the ‘VRossa’, a collector’s item ball-point pen
which brings together all of Mirco’s style, together with the thrill of mechanics and speed.
In titanium, the great care in this small and streamlined object pays tribute to the speed records and the pilots of the High
Velocity Team of the Italian Air Force.

iXoost takes the form of two distinct objects: the main base with its ‘horns’ and an exhaust manifold as a soundboard for the woofer,
sealed off in a little retro-styled bell à la café racer. The console is designed to be reminiscent of the crankcase of ‘60s-‘70s
motorbikes, complete with contrasting Allen screws.
The two leather-coated ports with their Schedoni leather aim to give the tactile sensation of a racing berlinetta;
a little touch that also serves as an object holder for supercar keys.
High precision mechanics and manual finishings are only fitting for this genuine work

of art, designed by the ASPA in Modena: a backyard grease monkey clinic whereanything is possible, thanks to all the hard
work of Antonio Gerardi and his lads.
The muffler suspensions are designed to give the idea of reaching skywards, as if to reflect the roar of engines, while the horns serve as
little exhaust pipes for the speakers: a clean-cut line in pure motoring style.
The audio components are deliberately left in view in order to celebrate their priceless craftsmanship.
Only a hot-head like Massimo Gavioli could come up with a genuine F1 exhaust pipe,

complete with valves, transistors and circuits, all linked up via electric cables, like nerves with knife-edge reactions.
Finally, thanks to the experience of Tiziano and Luca Ferrari, iXoost is presented in a unique IT bodywork:
the website, configurator and App, which all come together to represent the completeness of a project of which we stand proud, for not even
the tiniest of details has been left to chance.
All the iXoosts are real, from the tailpipe to the sound they make. 8, 10 or 12 cylinders: everyday numbers, yet ready to stretch your
imagination as far as you dare to let it.
